lawd knows presents his second pack of edits, 'gucheee boots', out August 9, 2019.

A follow up to 'let all your biometric phlegm out' (2018), the tracks on 'gucheee boots' are a collection of recent dance floor explorations by the Lagos-born, Philadelphia-based DJ that swing through everything from ambient to lento violento and go-go. The opening track sets a Nigerian Youtuber’s video on spiritual counsel in politically corrupt times atop a recent track from Kelman Duran to menacing and critical effect. In the video, the YouTuber warns against blaming the spirit world for people’s problems or trusting spiritual advisors to solve them. Instead, he points at the oppressive systems of the world around us.
